Kids deserve the very best books to learn more about nature and to start some action for the planet! The Blueberry Awards, begun by Evanston Public Library in 2021, annually showcase the best in kids’ literature about the earth and its protectors.
Enjoy these titles that received recent awards attention from various committees: Newbery, Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, Pura Belpré, Geisel, Sibert, Asian/Pacific Award for Literature, Schneider, the Sydney Taylor Award, Stonewall, Batchelder, the Children’s Literature Legacy Award and Children’s Literature Lecture Award.
