Together, we are the Library
The Evanston Public Library provides access to vital services every day within and beyond our walls. Your gift strengthens the community and supports literacy, education, collaboration and civic engagement.
Unfortunately, while the needs of our community are great, the Evanston Public Library has been drastically under-funded for decades. Our annual tax spending per resident is less than half that of our neighboring libraries. Evanston Public Library spends just $88 per resident annually, while Wilmette devotes $210, Skokie Public Library spends $186 and Northbrook allocates $234 per resident per year. When you donate, you help us have the great library Evanston deserves.
Please make a contribution today. Your generous support helps fund our collections, job search resources, access to the internet, literacy programs, children’s storytimes, book discussions, and so much more. Help us continue to spread the power of literacy, information, skills training and technology to every corner of Evanston.
You can donate online or use our printable form to make a contribution by mail or in-person. You can also make a contribution via wire transfer or gift of stock.
Thank you!
