Local Art @ EPL: Jamie Lou Thome

We are thrilled to welcome artist Jamie Lou Thome as the next to be featured in our ongoing exhibition series Local Art @ EPL. Her exhibit On Stories is currently on display on the 3rd floor of EPL’s Main Library where you can catch it through the end of October. She is a teaching artist and this collection focuses on how, “[s]tories, in all their iterations, define us; they show us who we are, and provide paths to help us become who we want to be. Stories connect us as one community, across multitudes of divides, and increase our understanding of one another, deepening our empathy for strangers and for ourselves.”  Additionally, Jamie will be donating 20% of the proceeds from the sales of this collection back to the Evanston Public Library to, “to benefit youth programming in all of the branches.”
