New Library Catalog Now Live

The Evanston Public Library is excited to announce the coming launch of a new website, catalog search and app designed to give patrons a more complete and interactive digital library experience.

Throughout this fall, patrons will see portions of our current website shift to our new platform.

The first component we are implementing is the new catalog. The new catalog is now live and has the ability to search books and other materials in Evanston and our partner libraries, now with one-click holds. Click here to launch the catalog. Click here to view a video that shows how to create an account in the new catalog. View Frequently Asked Questions about the new catalog.

In December, a new integrated events platform will launch.

And in January, get ready for a modern, new website that will help patrons discover a world of services offered by your library, plus a new app with handy features like checking out books with your phone, right in the stacks.

Along the way, we’ll offer opportunities for patrons to give feedback about the new site so we can continue to make improvements and bring you a modern, digital branch experience.

A new website will make it easier to find the books and other materials you’re looking for, discover new items you hadn’t considered, get recommendations from our librarians and a community of other readers, and much more.

In the meantime, some functions of our current website may experience hiccups. Please pardon our dust while we transition to the new site. Need help finding what you’re looking for? Drop by one of our two locations, or contact us.
