She’s caught in the middle of racial strife, and between her culture and American culture and between the Pro-George Wallace faction and the Anti-Wallace faction at school and in the community. A fascinating and beautiful book about an ugly topic. Don’t miss Lu — she’s a great friend to have in tough times. |
