Welcome to The Loft!

The ultimate teen-only hangout space for grades 6-12. Whether you're into reading, video games, or just hanging out, The Loft has something for you. Enjoy our diverse YA book collection, play the latest video games, or join one of our fun clubs and craft sessions. It's the perfect spot to relax after school, hang out with friends, or try something new! Come by and make The Loft your go-to spot for fun, creativity, and connection.

On half-days and school breaks, we open at noon—so you can stop by for some fun right after school lets out. It's the perfect time to hang out, enjoy the space, and take advantage of all the Loft has to offer! Call our Teen Loft Team with any questions at 847-448-8625.

Using the Loft

A dedicated space just for teens in grades 6-12, where you can hang out without any parents or younger siblings around! Inside, you'll find our Young Adult fiction collection, perfect for book lovers of all kinds. Plus, don’t miss the YA graphic novels and nonfiction located just outside the doors! Whether you’re looking for a good read or a place to relax, the Teen Loft is your spot. Check us out on half-days and schools breaks, the Loft opens at noon during these times.

  • Tu & Thurs: Open craft and Lego club

3D Printing

  • 3D printing is available to Evanston teens with library cards. Teens have 2 free print requests a month. More prints cost a minimum fee of $1.00 and $.10 per gram of filament.
  • Read the guidelines and submit your using the 3D Printing Form.
