    • A Library card is not required for access.
    • The Wi-Fi does not require a password.

    • Additionally, you can find free Wi-Fi locations in Evanston on this map.

    The library offers Chromebook Tech Kits for job hunters. If you need a laptop to search for a job, Evanston Public Library cardholders can borrow a Chromebook Tech Kit containing a Chromebook, a Wi-Fi hotspot and an Employment Kit Startup Guide to help with their job search. Kits check out for 28 days. Reserve one now or stop by our circulation desk to get on the list.

    Yes, scanning and faxing are free of charge.

    • A scanner and fax machine is located on the 3rd floor of the Main (downtown) Library and at the Robert Crown Library Branch.
    • Scanned documents can be saved to a USB/flash drive, emailed, or printed.
    • Normal print charges apply to printed scans.
    • Faxes can be sent, but they can not be received at the Library

    Yes, a copy machine is located on each floor of the Main (downtown) Library.

    • Copying Costs:
      • Black and White: 10¢ a page
      • Color copies are not available
      • Pay by cash and credit card (credit card payment is only available on the 3rd floor)

    Yes, printing is available from any public internet library computer.

    Yes, public computers are available for adults, teens, and kids.

    • A library card is not required to use a computer or our Wi-Fi.
    • Public computers with internet access are available at the Main (downtown) Library and at Robert Crown Library Branch during open library hours.
    • Free Wi-Fi is available for use with personal devices.
    • Computer sessions are one hour long and can be extended depending on availability and demand.
    • Wheelchair accessible computer stations are available at all locations.
