We are making an important update to how you search for and discover physical books through the Evanston Public Library website and app.
Going forward, when you search for physical books in our catalog, you will see results from the entire Cooperative Computer Services (CCS) consortium, not just items owned by Evanston Public Library. This change will become the new default view for patrons.
What this means for you:
- You no longer have to toggle between catalogs to find what you're looking for.
- You may see additional available copies and gain faster access to titles.
- Requests and holds will continue to work as they do now, with seamless delivery between libraries in the consortium
This update is designed to make it easier to discover more titles, increase availability, and help you get the materials you want more quickly through our shared library network.
We’re excited to expand access to the full CCS collection and help you explore even more of what our library community has to offer.
